Arabian chocolate is a delightful fusion of rich cocoa flavor with the exotic taste of Middle Eastern ingredients such as dates, cardamom, saffron, and nuts. ½ teaspoon ground cardamom

A few saffron strands soaked in warm milk (optional)


1 teaspoon rose water or orange blossom water (optional)

Method of Preparation:

Start by melting both the dark and milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl using the double boiler method or microwave. Stir continuously to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and achieves a smooth, glossy texture. Once melted, add butter or cream to enhance richness and shine. Next, mix in the saffron-infused milk if desired, along with cardamom powder and rose water for a fragrant touch.


In another bowl, finely chop the dates and nuts. Fold them gently into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring all pieces are well coated. The combination of chewy dates and crunchy nuts creates a wonderful contrast in texture. Pour the mixture into a lined tray or silicone molds, smoothing the surface evenly. Refrigerate for about two hours, or until the chocolate sets firmly.


Once set, cut the Arabian chocolate into bite-sized squares or bars. Garnish with crushed pistachios, edible gold dust, or a drizzle of white chocolate for an elegant presentation. These chocolates can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
